Welche Yoga-Zertifizierung sollte ich machen?

Grundlagen des Yoga

Du hast dich für eine Yogalehrerausbildung entschieden – yay 😍 Glückwunsch –, bist aber überwältigt von der Vielzahl der Programme? Wenn du die YTT nicht nur zur Vertiefung der eigenen Praxis machst, sondern auch unterrichten möchtest, lohnt sich eine Schule, die bei der Yoga Alliance registriert ist und nach Kursabschluss ein Zertifikat ausstellt. 

Technisch kannst du auch ohne Zertifikat oder Ausbildung unterrichten – Glaubwürdigkeit und Jobchancen steigen damit aber deutlich, denn die meisten Studios verlangen eines. Prüfe außerdem die Regelungen deines Heimatlandes für die Arbeit als Yogalehrer und ob es einen eigenen Yoga-Verband mit Zertifikaten gibt.

Das Yoga-Alliance-Zertifikat ist international anerkannt und erlaubt dir, weltweit zu unterrichten. Es ist die größte und bekannteste Non-Profit-Yoga-Community. Du kennst vermutlich die grundlegende 200-Stunden-Ausbildung – die Basisqualifikation, mit der du direkt unterrichten kannst. Manche Schulen bieten eine volle 500-Stunden-Ausbildung an; in den meisten Fällen bist du besser beraten, mit einem 200-Stunden-Kurs zu starten, einige Monate Unterrichtspraxis zu sammeln und später den zusätzlichen 300-Stunden-Kurs zu machen.

Eine 200-Stunden-Ausbildung, auch 200 YTTC (Yoga Teacher Training Course) genannt, gibt dir ein solides Fundament. Je nach Lehrplan lernst du Asana, korrektes Alignment, Pranayama und Meditation in Theorie und Praxis, Anatomie des physischen und energetischen Körpers, Mantras, Mudras und Kriyas, Hands-on-Adjustments und verschiedene Unterrichtsmethoden, alte Yogaschriften und Philosophie – und manche Schulen vermitteln auch Grundlagen von Ayurveda und Ernährung sowie Business-Aspekte des Unterrichtens.

Es gibt Ausbildungen für alle Yogastile. Wenn du noch neu bist und deinen Stil suchst, nimm dir Zeit – oder erwäge eine Multi-Style-Ausbildung. Lies dazu auch: verschiedene Yogastile in Kürze.

Du bist noch unsicher, ob du ein intensives 4-Wochen-, 3-Wochen-/21-Tage-Retreat oder einen mehrmonatigen Wochenend-/Abendkurs willst? Schau dir diesen Artikel an: Welche YTTC passt am besten zu mir.

Neben diesen Yoga-Alliance-Basiszertifizierungen kannst du später mit Zusatzausbildungen von meist 50–100 Stunden vertiefen – etwa Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, Kinderyoga – oder Workshops zu Meditation, Pranayama, Adjustments usw. 

Nach einigen Jahren Unterricht kannst du an den Punkt kommen, eigene Lehrerausbildungen zu geben oder eine eigene Yogaschule zu eröffnen. Das ist mit den Yoga-Alliance-Zertifizierungen E-RYT 200 und E-RYT 500 möglich, die dir bei entsprechender Erfahrung zugewiesen werden können. Für E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) brauchst du jährlich 50 Stunden Weiterbildung über YA-registrierte Programme (z. B. eine Yin-Ausbildung), 1000 Unterrichtsstunden und mindestens 3 Jahre Zertifikatsbesitz – inklusive jährlicher Gebühren an die Yoga Alliance. Für E-RYT 500 sind es 2000 Unterrichtsstunden und 5 Jahre Erfahrung. Detaillierte Anforderungen findest du auf www.yogaalliance.org – dort auch eine Liste aller zertifizierten Lehrenden und Schulen!

Wir wissen alle: Unsere Lieblingslehrer sind nicht unbedingt die mit den meisten Zertifikaten. Bei aller Überlegung, welche Zertifizierung die beste ist – am Ende brauchst du mehr als das. Eine Lehrerausbildung ist ein guter Start und gibt dir ein solides Fundament, aber ein großartiger Yogalehrer zu werden ist eine lebenslange Reise mit Hingabe und Einsatz. Nicht nur fürs Unterrichten, sondern auch dafür, die eigene Praxis zu halten, während du anderen dienst. Du kannst wirklich nur unterrichten, was du selbst erfahren und verkörpert hast – steige so oft wie möglich auf die Matte!

Non-duality, often referred to as Advaita in Hindu philosophy, is a profound spiritual concept that encompasses a wide range of teachings and practices. It emphasizes the inherent unity between the individual self (jiva) and the ultimate reality (Brahman) or consciousness. According to non-dual teachings, the individual self, which is often identified with the body, mind, and ego, is ultimately an expression or manifestation of the same underlying reality that encompasses everything. Non-duality invites us to look beyond the surface-level appearances and to inquire into the nature of our own experience. It encourages us to question our assumptions, beliefs, and concepts in order to discover the truth of our own being. It suggests that by investigating the nature of our thoughts, emotions, sensations, and perceptions, we can arrive at a direct experience of the non-dual reality. Practices such as self-inquiry, meditation, and contemplation are often employed to facilitate this process of self-discovery. By turning our attention inward and examining our subjective experience, we can begin to unravel the layers of conditioning and identification that perpetuate the illusion of separation. Non-dual philosophy asserts that the realization of non-duality is not something to be achieved or attained, but rather a recognition of what is already and always present. It is a shift in perception that reveals the underlying unity and interconnectedness of all things. This realization is said to bring about a profound sense of peace, freedom, and liberation, as one recognizes their essential nature as pure consciousness or awareness. In summary, non-duality is a spiritual philosophy that points to the inherent unity of all existence. It challenges the conventional understanding of reality as separate and encourages a direct exploration of one's own experience to discover the truth of one's being. By transcending the limitations of duality and recognizing the underlying oneness, non-duality offers a transformative understanding that can profoundly impact one's perception of oneself, others, and the world.
